Colorado Parks and Wildlife officers will give a seminar for hunters looking for help applying for big game hunting licenses at 6 p.m., March 25 at the CPW office at 4255 Sinton Road in Colorado Springs.
Every year we get questions from hunters asking, "How can I improve the odds at drawing the hunting licenses I want?" said Jeromy Huntington, a wildlife officer from the Colorado Springs area.
Hunters can get tips on how to find the best odds of drawing licenses, how to read harvest reports, preference points and figuring out how the leftover draw works. In addition, wildlife officers will walk hunters through the online application process and explain how to avoid the most common pitfalls.
The deadline for submitting applications for the 2013 big game hunting season is April 2.
