With a mild high temperature of 67 degrees and calmer winds Friday in Colorado Springs, it was hard to find better weather to start the weekend.
Plenty of people were out soaking up the sun with their furry friends at the Bear Creek Dog Park.
"I was so tired of winter," said Debra Quattlebaum
Robert Green agreed. "Finally, a little bit less wind. Spring seems to be in full force."
Mother Nature certainly made it easy for golfers to soak up the rays while out on the greens at Patty Jewitt.
"It's beautiful, it's just great." said Ashley Hermes who was relaxing on the clubhouse patio Friday afternoon.
"It's going to be a great weekend, I can't complain at all," added Jeff Whitnay.
With sunny skies in the forecast for the whole weekend, Tom Anderson was already making plans.
"Were going to do some bike riding, hiking, walking the dog and getting our vitamin D in the sun."
Mike Clark, who operates an ice cream truck with his wife Dorothy, said the warm weekend will be great for business.
"It's been a long winter, a cold winter, so hopefully with the weather everything will turn out all right."
But not everyone was tired of winter. Ken Fry, who was helping his son chill out with a popsicle from the Clark's, wished the snow would stick around longer.
"I love the snow, I'm here for the snow, I want it to snow more," Fry said.
It's possible that Fry will get his wish. The latest snowfall on record for Colorado Springs is June 10, 1975.
