Summer just began at 11:16 AM! Lovely today with mostly sunny skies, light winds and temps slightly cooler than average temps this afternoon. By late afternoon you will notice a few cumulus clouds building over the mountains and I-25 corridor.
High pressure continues to build in to the region this evening. Clear skies and cool temps are expected.
Mostly sunny skies for most of your Wednesday with light winds and dry conditions. Temps will top out about 2-3 degrees warmer than today.
A more 'summer-like' warming trend is on the way for Thursday and Friday. Temps will warm into the mid to upper 80's in the Springs and the lower to middle 90's in Pueblo.
Thursday there will be a very slight 10% chance of a storm or two over the mountains.
With a bit more available moisture the chance for storms will go up to about 20% for the higher elevations and El Paso County. The rest of the southeastern half of the state will only have about a 10% chance for thundershowers.
Saturday will be toasty again and quiet for most of the day. Another 20% chance for storms in the late afternoon possible close to and over the mountains.
Warmer for Sunday for all of us and lower chances for any afternoon storms. Temps will continue to stay about 3-6 degrees warmer than average.
