Hefty fines for parking violations near UCCS

If you park in the neighborhood south of the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS), you will need to find a new place.

Starting next Monday, September 2nd, the City of Colorado Springs will have a new parking program in the Cragmor neighborhood south of the UCCS campus.

This program is designed to address the long-term issue of out-of-neighborhood traffic parking along the local residential streets. Parking will no longer be allowed in this area from 8:00am to 6:00pm Monday through Friday for residents that have a parking permit.

The tickets are expensive. Violators could be fined as much as $85 per incident.
