A few showers and thunderstorms will be possible through mid-evening. Afterwards, skies should turn partly cloudy to mostly clear overnight. Lows will drop to the 60°s.
Tuesday will see relatively dry conditions across southern/southeastern Colorado with the exception of over the mountains where a few isolated thunderstorms could develop. High temperatures will be in the 80°s to middle 90°s.
Attention then turns to Wednesday where computer models are projecting a wet day for the KOAA viewing area. In fact, computer models are suggesting heavy rain could fall across the area which could create flash flooding across areas that have seen heavy rains in recent days. An average of three computer models suggests 1.21" of rain for Colorado Springs and 0.86" of rain for Pueblo through 6pm Thursday. - Meteorologist John Dissauer
