Heat is on Super Bowl weekend

The heat will be on in El Paso County this weekend as the El Paso County Sheriff's Office steps on the field for the 2012 Super Bowl Weekend High Visibility DUI Enforcement Period.
Five additional sheriff's deputies will be working strictly DUI enforcement funding provided by the Colorado Department of Transportation for the Heat is On statewide DUI enforcement campaign.
"Super bowl weekend is a national event and we want everyone to enjoy themselves," said El Paso County Sheriff Terry Maketa. "When fans are making their game plan, they need to be sure to include a designated driver."
The Super Bowl DUI Enforcement Period was created in 2009
