Healthy choices made on National Walking Day

Wednesday brought plenty of sunshine for you to lace up your shoes and head out for National Walking Day.

The American Heart Association urged everyone to walk more and make better lifestyle choices..

The Heart Association says for each hour of vigorous exercise you can add about two hours to your life.

They also announced the "Billion Calorie Count-UP."

They want to encourage Americans to collectively burn one billion calories by the year 2020 by participating in their Heart Walks.

Just one person would have to walk about ten million miles to burn one billion calories.
