Harry Mapps, the man accused of killing three people in Rye,waived his advisement this morning in Pueblo County Court.
Mapps also waived extradition after he was arrested last weekend at a motel in Oklahoma. He has been brought back to face multiple felony counts, including murder.
Pueblo county sheriff's investigators say that Mapps shot and killed Reginald and Kim Tuttle, and their daughter Dawn Roderick at their home in Rye the day before Thanksgiving. They say he then set fire to the home to cover up the crime. Mapps had lived at the residence for a time and worked for the family.
Investigators believe the motive was financial, after they say he cashed two forged checks before running from authorities.
Mapps is expected to be back in court on January 13th.
