Handful of troops contract malaria

A U.S. military spokesman in Haiti says six American soldiers involved in the aid mission have come down with malaria. The illness is transmitted by mosquitoes
An Army spokesman says one of the soldiers was evacuated for treatment. The soldier is said to be improving.
The other five soldiers are recovering and are all scheduled to return to their duties.
