Before you take the family swimming, you should know a nasty bug is spreading in our area. At least five people in Pueblo have come down with an illness called Cryptosporidium.
Health experts say it's an illness that causes stomach cramps and diarrhea. The Pueblo City-County Health Department says everyone who got sick recently went swimming at a pool in Walsenburg.
So over the weekend, they posted fliers at dozens of pools in Pueblo as a precaution. To stay healthy they safe don't swallow pool water and make sure you shower before and after swimming.
