Aiming to advance to the next round of the postseason, the Mesa Ridge football team held off Ponderosa 19-14. Ponderosa fumbled on the Mesa Ridge 1 yard line in the final minute.
Elsewhere in 4A playoff action, Pueblo West scored the final 38 points of the game defeating Windsor 50-27 and Vista Ridge lost to Monarch 28-21. The Coyotes held on after leading 28-0 at the half.
In 5A, ThunderRidge, Valor Christian and Ralston Valley were all victorious.
