Green beats Gold in CSU Spring Football game

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) - Chris Nwoke scored on a two-point conversion after running in for a 4-yard touchdown on the final play as the Green squad won 15-14 over the Gold team in Colorado State's spring football game Saturday.

Nwoke ran for 52 yards on 13 carries. M.J. McPeek was 9-for-20 for 75 yards and a 9-yard scoring throw to Brett Etherton for the Green team.

Garrett Grayson completed 5 of 7 passes for 37 yards and scored on a 1-yard scramble. Derek Good led all rushers with 75 yards and had a 7-yard TD run for the Gold.

No. 1 quarterback Pete Thomas was limited to two series and was 1-for-3 for 16 yards. He was intercepted by Ezra Thompson in the end zone.

The Rams are coming off a 3-9 season and open the 2011 season Sept. 3 at New Mexico.
