GREELEY, Colo. (AP) - A judge has made permanent a restraining order against Greeley school board member Brett Reese and revoked his concealed weapon permit.
The Greeley Tribune reports that Reese was ordered Friday to stay at least 100 yards from a rival radio station owner. Justin Sasso says Reese threatened "a shootout" over advertisers.
Reese has said his remarks were misinterpreted. He says he'll appeal the judge's decision.
Reese had planned to carry his handgun to school board meetings after getting death threats for his radio commentaries denouncing Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. He aired the commentary every day leading up to Martin Luther King Day this week.
The board voted Thursday to meet at schools because guns are prohibited there.
