Greeley man dies while riding jet boat

BERTHOUD, Colo. (AP) - A 32-year-old man has died while riding a jet boat on Carter Lake.

A witness tells Larimer County deputies the man fell off a jet boat he was operating with two passengers on Tuesday. After struggling to re-board the vessel, the man lost consciousness.

The coroner's office identified the man as Ryan Jenkins of Greeley. The coroner said it appears Jenkins died of natural causes but the manner and cause of death are still under investigation.

The Larimer County Sheriff's Office says nearby boaters saw the incident and took Jenkins to a boat ramp, where efforts to revive him were unsuccessful.
