Grass fire caused by blown transformer is quickly put out

Firefighters have just arrived to a reported grass fire that was possibly caused by a downed power line near Stetson Hills and Southbound Powers Blvd. The fire is out and Colorado Springs Utilities has been dispatched to deenergize the line before it causes any further fires.

It is unknown at this time if there are any power outages as a result of this downed line and blown transformer. We will try to keep you updated with what we learn from officials on scene.
