Grant to pay for 15 new firefighters

A grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency will pay for 15 new firefighters for two years in Colorado Springs. The grant totals just over $2-million.
The Fire Department will start a new academy in February 2013 and have those firefighters ready for employment next summer when Station 21 is set to open.
