GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (AP) - The mayor pro tem of Grand Junction has resigned effective immediately, citing personal reasons. City Councilwoman Bonnie Beckstein says she is stepping down because of "significant changes" in her personal life. She didn't give details and asked that her privacy be respected. The City Council plans to meet next week to discuss the appointment of a new member and a mayor pro tem.
