A McDonald's restaurant will open in the underground mall adjoining the Louvre later this year.
It's a good bet for McDonald's.
According to company officials, the McDonald's on the Champs-Elysees is the most profitable in the world, and France is the company's
second-biggest market after the US.
But the mix of french fries and high art has raised some hackles among purists, who say it's another example of the "Disneylandization" of
french culture.
