Governor Ritter to speak in Pueblo next month

Governor Bill Ritter will speak at Action 22's State of the State Luncheon on Friday in Pueblo. The luncheon is scheduled for Friday, July 30, 11:30 - 1 p.m. at the Pueblo Convention Center, 320 Central Main Street, Pueblo.

Governor Ritter was keynote at a statewide State of the State on May 13 at the Denver Metro Chamber's luncheon and this one will focus on the state of Southern Colorado.

In addition to the State of the State luncheon, Action 22 will hold its 2nd of three committee summits. Committee summits are where committees meet to discuss issues and make recommendations to the Board of Directors. Some of the issues to be discussed include a Ballot Initiative 45 presentation, the Federal Health Reform and how it affects Colorado; drilled water reuse; update on expansion of gaming; how the bad three will affect transportation; VMT and raising the gas tax; land and water use development.

Cost of the both the Committee Summit and State of the State Luncheon is $45 (discount rate of $35 for Action 22 members); Luncheon only is $35 (discount rate of $25 for Action 22 members). Committee summit only is $10.
