Governor meets with Colorado Springs military leaders today

Colorado Springs (AP)-Gov. John Hickenlooper is meeting with leaders at Fort Carson to discuss growth at the Army base south of Colorado Springs.

The meeting Thursday will also focus on the economic impacts of the Army post's expansion on neighboring communities. Fort Carson is the second-largest employer in Colorado with an economic impact of nearly $2.5 billion.

While in the area, Hickenlooper also plans to meet with senior leaders at Peterson Air Force Base.
