DENVER (AP) - Colorado officials have talked to the U.S. attorney general about the state's recent marijuana vote, but no decision was announced about how the federal government would respond.

A spokesman for Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper says the governor and state Attorney General John Suthers spoke to Attorney General Eric Holder in a private phone conversation Friday afternoon.

Holder did not say how the federal government would respond. Spokesman Eric Brown says there was no announcement about a possible lawsuit challenging Colorado's marijuana legalization measure.
