DENVER (AP) - Gov.-elect John Hickenlooper continues filling out his cabinet, announcing three appointments Friday.
The incoming Democrat has announced that Sue Birch, who currently leads the Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association, will be in charge of the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing.
Another appointment went to TJ Deora, a Denver-based executive with Horizon Wind Energy. He will lead the Governor's Energy Office.
Finally, Hickenlooper announced that the head of the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, Maj. Gen. Michael Edwards, will retain the role in his administration. Edwards was appointed in 2007 and oversees the Colorado National Guard's primary missions of
defense and state emergency response.
