WASHINGTON (AP) - Republicans are calling for action on gasoline prices and spending.

In the weekly GOP radio and internet address, Alabama Rep. Martha Roby says it's time for Washington to get serious about the challenges facing the country.

She praised the House for passing three measures to expand domestic energy production "because when we're talking about energy, we're talking about jobs."

The White House opposes all three but Obama is adopting some of the bills' provisions.

She says doing nothing poses "the greatest threat to our economy, job creation, and the future of our children."
