Colorado McDonald's restaurants will hire 1,000 people Tuesday. The fast food chain is accepting applications and conducting interviews at all of its restaurants in the state during a coordinated hiring event from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Both fulltime and part time positions are available. McDonald's employees who work more than 20 hours a week qualify for the company's health insurance benefit.

Leslie Louzon-Keller supervises four Colorado Springs restaurants. She says the busy summer tourism season combined with a new corporate rollout of products related to the "McCafé" line are driving the hiring push.

"We've got a lot of troops coming in as well, which increases our business flow and we have some positions available and we want to fill them."

Interviews will be conducted on site. You can apply in person or on-line at mccolorado.com.
