GM, safety agency face Congress over recalls

DETROIT (AP) - Members of Congress will press General Motors for answers this week in the recall of some 2.6 million vehicles for a faulty ignition switch that's been linked to 13 deaths.

A House subcommittee on Tuesday and a Senate subcommittee Wednesday will ask GM officials if they knew the vehicles had a problem, and was something done to fix it.

At least a dozen family members of victims plan to attend.
