It's been a year since swine flu first spread from Mexico to the United States. Since then, it's spread to another 211 countries and killed more than 16,000 people worldwide.

Swine flu has sharply declined in the US and Europe, but could be on the rise in West Africa, according to the World Health Organization. Senegal, Ivory Coast and Rwanda are all reporting an increased caseload.

Thailand is also experiencing an outbreak.
