For the second time in just a week a temporary lock down of all Fort Carson gates occurred as a result of a man who ignored orders of security police and drove onto the mountain post last night.
A Fort Carson Public Affairs Spokesperson said that a man reportedly in a white, four-door Dodge Stratus baring temporary plates attempted to enter through Gate 3 located off Hwy 115.
When a security officer instructed the man to leave the gate and go to the main gate further South which is a basic procedure, the man ignored the order and drove straight onto the post through Gate 3.
As a result Fort Carson Military police were alerted and all gates in and out of the Mountain Post were locked down in an attempt to find the driver. This is the second such lock down in the past week.
