The Pueblo Senior Resource Development Agency was evacuated briefly Friday afternoon when people inside began smelling something they thought was a natural gas leak. But the smell was apparently being pulled in from outside by heating equipment.

Fire Department crews as well as workers from Xcel Energy tried to find the source, but gave up when it appeared the smell was evident across much of downtown. Fire crews decided the odor was coming from the east, possibly from the Pueblo Waste Water Treatment Plant.

SRDA clients and staff went back inside within about ten minutes.
