The world economy is growing again, but the recovery remains fragile, according to the finance ministers from the Group of Seven rich countries. In a joint statement in Istanbul on Saturday, they say that decisive actions have helped the global economy to recover and financial market conditions to improve.
However, they warn there is no room for complacency since the prospects for growth remain fragile and unemployment continues to rise.
The G-7 countries are the United States, Japan, Germany, France, Britain, Canada and Italy.
