It's another furlough day for thousands of state government employees.
The unpaid day off Friday affected about 15,500 employees in Colorado, including all DMV offices.
It was one of eight furlough days Gov. Bill Ritter ordered them to take this fiscal year to help save money. There are three more furlough days left before the fiscal year ends June 30.
The furloughs are expected to save about $27.2 million as the state deals with plunging tax revenues.
Still open are parks, unemployment benefits offices, state nursing homes, hospitals and care centers.
