If your kids are starting to get bored, here's a fun activity that sneaks-in some education.
The Starsmore Discovery Center in Colorado Springs will hold a Tipi Raising and Ute Heritage Workshop on Saturday, July 17, 9:30 - 11:30 a.m.
Kids will put up a real Ute Indian style tipi, handle replica artifacts from the 1850's, and paint with yucca fronds.
This workshop is appropriate for ages 8 years old and up. Younger children must be accompanied by an adult.
The cost is $15 per person.
To register, call Starsmore at 719-385-6086.
