More soldiers from the Mountain Post are heading overseas. To get ready they're packing away the colors in a traditional casing ceremony.
The flags for the divisions are cased before being sent into a combat zone.
3,500 soldiers from the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, with the 4th Infantry Division, are getting ready to deploy to Iraq.
About half of the soldiers just returned from in February of 2009. They've had 13 months to get ready for this deployment. Many have more experience than just one other deployment. Commanders say several soldiers will be leaving for their fourth tour.
"The amount of deployments we've been executing as an Army are hard on the families, they're hard on the soldiers, but indisputably, the force that's deploying is much more season, combat experienced, and there is a huge advantage to that also," says unit's commander, Colonel Jim Rainey.
The soldiers with the 3rd Brigade Combat Team will be working with Iraqi security forces, as the military plans to decrease the total number of American troops in the country.
