Low pressure that pushed a cold front through Colorado yesterday has passed to our east. The wind flow behind that low pressure circulation into our area is from a region with low humidity. Our humidity will drop noticeably, but there is some rain embedded within that wind flow, too. It's north of us, and that could try to clip our northern areas today. That may mean a stray shower for El Paso or Teller counties this afternoon.
Although our Friday started on the cool side we will warm quickly. By 10 AM, temperatures will be mainly in the 70's with 60's lingering in high elevations. We will warm through the 70's and into the 80's between noon and 2 PM with an increase in cloud cover. A stray shower isn't out of the question, but high elevations including the mountains west of I-25 and far northern El Paso County will be the most favored areas for any showers.
The weekend looks beautiful with sunshine and warm afternoons. Mornings will still be cool. Clouds try to come back next week, but the chance for rain will be minimal at best. Temperatures will warm gradually through the week.
