FREX buses up for sale

The city of Colorado Springs has put nine surplus FREX buses up for sale, for a third time. It's part of an effort to generate enough money to keep FREX running in 2010. Right now, the service is slated to end February 12.
At least two out-of-state agencies have expressed interest in the buses. They are 80-percent owned by CDOT; the city owns the remaining 20 percent.
Passengers are advised to continue planning for FREX service to end February 12, adding that nothing is set in stone yet. Interested parties have until 10am February 8, to bid on the buses.
