One out of every three houses in Colorado has elevated levels of radon, which is the second leading cause of lung cancer. Now a group in Pueblo is offering a free workshop to help people learn how to install a radon mitigation system.

Experts says a radon removal system can be installed for around $1,000. This workshop is designed to help people who can't afford to hire a certified mitigation specialist.

The workshop will be held Wednesday April 28, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Business Tech Center, 301 N. Main St. If you want to attend the meeting you must RSVP to PuebloCares at 719-252-6258

Experts say the only way to know if you have radon in your home, is to test for it.
