Snow may be on the way for the Pikes Peak region. For military families, there's a program to help them clear their sidewalks for free.

Remember, it's a city ordinance to keep your sidewalks clear in Colorado Springs.

The program, SnowCare for Troops (part of Project EverGreen), is a non-profit in its' third year. More than 1,200 volunteers nationwide have helped about 1,700 military families.

As News 5 was looking into the program and found out that they're in a big need of volunteers in the Pikes Peak region.
