In celebration of National Pancake Day, IHOP restaurants across Southern Colorado are offering guests a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes this Tuesday from 7 a.m. - 10 p.m.
However, the stores are asking for a small donation; it benefits the Shrine Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, which services children in our area.
This is the 5th annual Pancake Day event. Last year, pancake lovers donated nearly $1.5 million to children's charities, far exceeding their initial fundraising goal, and serving more than 2.5 million free pancakes.
But there is a tip to getting your pancakes... "Come early! Actually, we do more business at night than we do during the day. So, come early, have your pancakes, and go on in to work," said Patricia Tennant, IHOP Director of Operations.
To get yours, head to one of four locations in Colorado Springs and two in Pueblo:
