A rally will be held in front of the Colorado Capitol building Tuesday in support of a 2010 ballot initiative that would attempt to exempt Colorado from President Obama's health care legislation.

Those attending the rally will be wearing "Obama Care - Hell No, Colorado Won't Go" buttons.

The rally is being held by the Independence Institute of Golden and Colorado State Rep. Cindy Acree.

"We want to send a very clear message to lawmakers that we want them to say 'Yes' to defending Colorado from Obama Care," said Jon Caldara, Independence Institute president. "This is an excellent opportunity for freedom-loving people from across the State to let the legislature know what they think about federal mandates on health insurance."

The "Free Our Health Care" rally will take place on the west steps of the Colorado State Capitol on Tuesday at noon.

Scheduled speakers include Caldara, Acree, Americans for Prosperity Colorado director Jeff Crank, State Rep. Amy Stephens and neurosurgeon Dr. Sanat Dixit.
