There will be a free hunting seminar on Monday, March 15 from 6 to 9 p.m., at DOW office on 4255 Sinton Road in Colorado Springs.

The Colorado Division of Wildlife will be holding the seminar to help big game hunters prepare for the 2010 seasons. The DOW staff will cover changes in the hunting season, and answer questions about obtaining limited licenses for deer, elk, pronghorn, and other big game species.

Topics that will be covered will include information on the new "hybrid" draw system, changes to the preference point fee, the expanded 3rd season for deer and elk, the expanded rifle moose season, the whitetail-only seasons, late pronghorn season, landowner draws, and how muzzleloading elk licenses are awarded.

The deadline for submitting limited licenses applications for the 2010 season is April 6. And over the counter big game licsenses go on sale July 13.

Hunters that are seeking more information about hunting licenses and seasons can find information on the DOW web page.

Topics: hunting, whitetail deer, deer, elk, pronghorn, hunting season, DOW, Colorado Springs
