Anglers can fish for free this weekend at Lake Pueblo State Park. Fishing licenses will not required. However, possession limits, and restrictions on fishing and bait methods will still apply.

The park will also host a free kids fishing derby on Saturday, June 4 at the Anticline Pond. Free fishing poles and bait will be handed out to the first 100 children to arrive courtesy of the Colorado Division of Wildlife.

The derby is open to children age 3 - 12 years old. Registration begins at 7:00 a.m. and fishing will take place between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. A valid parks pass is required to enter the park.
