The case of Jessica Ridgeway has all parents on edge and concerned about keeping their own kids safe.
A free anti-abduction clinic in Colorado Springs teaches kids and parents what to do in case of the worst.
Rather than punching or kicking a stranger who might try to abduct the child, an instructor teaches kids how to "DDA" or "delay and draw attention" by wrapping around the legs of the potential predator and yelling "fire".
Experts say that way they're more likely to attract the attention of someone who can help.
Other techniques are also taught, including how to avoid predators who approach kids from vehicles and what to look out for.
Calvary Family Martial Arts and Fitness will be offering free anti-abduction seminars for kids every Saturday until Thanksgiving. Kids of all ages are invited to attend with their parents.
