TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Former Colorado Rockies ace Jeff Francis says he felt healthy following his first minor-league rehab start after missing all of last season due to shoulder surgery.

Francis gave up two runs in 4-and-two-thirds innings, yielding a two-run home run to Clay Fuller in the third inning of Double-A Tulsa's 4-2 loss to Arkansas in 16 innings Thursday night.

Francis led the Rockies with 17 wins on their way to winning the National League pennant in 2007 but had not pitched in a game since September 2008. He had surgery to repair a torn labrum in February 2009 and missed all of last season.

Francis says his arm "feels good" but he needs to get better command of his fastball and increase his pitch count so he can go deeper into games.

Francis is scheduled to pitch for Tulsa again on Tuesday.
