Four suspects have been indicted in the murder of Robert Piserchio, whose body was found in his own home in the Pueblo area back in December.
Today's indictments were returned for Aaron Wilkerson, Brandon Armijo, Acacia Lyndarr, and Matthew Barnes in connection with the death of Piserchio. Wilkerson, Armijo and Lyndar all face burglary, robbery and arson charges. In addition Wilkerson faces a first degree murder charge. Barnes was only indicted on burglary and robbery charges, plus pawning stolen property.
Armijo and Lyndarr are already in custody in El Paso County in other cases. Matthew Barnes was previously identified as a person of interest in Piserchio's death. Authorities are still searching for him.
The District Attorney's office had previously identified Wilkerson as a suspect. He was scheduled to be officially charged next week.
The indictment says Wilkerson, Armijo, Lyndarr and Barnes left Colorado Springs on December 9 late at night and returned between 4 and 5 a.m. the next day. Piserchio was found dead between 1 and 2 a.m. The indictment says they had in their possession many of Piserchio's belongings, including a football signed by John Elway and Craig Morton.
Authorities say their investigation into Piserchio's death is continuing, and more arrests are possible. The indictment also indicated Piserchio did not die from the assault, but from a heart attack from the trauma of the attack. The coroner did rule the death a homicide.
