Fountain resident Gary Martinez woke up $1 million richer this morning, thanks to the Colorado Lottery.
He didn't get the money from a scratch-off ticket, lotto, Powerball or Mega-Millions--he entered a second chance drawing.
"Oh my gosh!" said Martinez, who was surprised with a check at work in Colorado Springs Wednesday. "Wow. What a blessing."
Martinez has been living with relatives. He say's he'll pay off debt, and hopes to buy a home of his own. "It's a big relief," he said. "It opens a million doors."
This isn't the first time Martinez has been lucky with the lottery's second chance drawings--in April, he won Denver Broncos season tickets.
