Michelle Obama is making a campaign stop in Fountain Wednesday.

Colorado is one of the tightest states in the presidential race, so the First Lady is trying to swing voters her husband's way.

The rally is at the Fountain's Dean Fleischauer Activity Center; that's on 326 West Alabama Ave., across from Fountain Middle School. Gates open at 9 Wednesday morning.

"Once she arrives in the area we won't allow any traffic back in there (west of Santa Fe Ave on Alabama Ave.); all the parking will be in the residential area around the school," explains Fountain's Deputy Police Chief Bill Elder.

Police say expect parking to be tight; they say you should probably show up early and plan on doing some walking.

The closure will be on West Alabama Ave. while the First Lady is there, from S. Santa Fe. Ave. to Cherry Circle.

Unless you're going to the rally or dropping off kids at Fountain Middle School, please avoid the area to help alleviate traffic concerns.

You will need a ticket to attend Wednesday's rally with the First Lady. Tickets can be picked up at the local Democratic offices, or if there are any extras they'll be handed out at the door on a first-come-first-served basis.
