Foul smell expected at Mineral Palace Park

A failed pump at the lake at Pueblo's Mineral Palace Park may cause a stink.
The pump that feeds the well that fills Lake Clara broke down last Thursday.
"It was a very old pump set up, " said parks supervisor Charlie Carlino, "and will probably have to be repaired or replaced by a professional contractor. Our maintenance staff is in the process of getting quotes on its replacement. We hope to get this repaired as soon as possible."
The well pump is responsible for feeding fresh water into Lake Clara, and with this hot weather it will probably start to stink soon.
