About 400 Fort Carson soldiers are headed home this weekend during a series of three homecoming ceremonies scheduled for Saturday and Sunday on post.
The first wave of about 200 soldiers with the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division are expected to arrive at 6:30 p.m. Saturday. Shortly after that, a welcome home ceremony will take place for another 50 soldiers from 663 Explosives and Ordinance Disposal Company, 71st Ordnance Group.
Early Sunday morning, another 150 soldiers the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division will be reunited with family and friends. The soldiers are returning from a one year deployment to Iraq.
