Fort Carson soldiers helping with rescue efforts

Fort Carson soldiers have been helping out the rescue efforts in Northern Colorado.

Around 100 soldiers from the Joint Task Force Carson are helping conduct search and rescue operations with the Colorado National Guard.

Three Chinook and three Blackhawk helicopters are also helping with air rescues. More than 85 flight hours have been logged pulling more than 700 people to safety, including 85 5th graders from Denver. The 4th Combat Aviation Brigade has also helped 25 flood victims.
