Fort Carson soldier dies in Afghanistan

A Fort Carson soldier has died while serving in Afghanistan. The Department of Defense says Sgt. Randy M. Haney, 27, died Sunday. Sgt. Haney died of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit using small arms and rocket-propelled grenade fires.
Sgt. Haney was assigned to the 2nd Special Troops Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division. He was from Orlando, Florida.
