Reading data collected from several rain gauges placed throughout southern Colorado, First Alert 5 Meteorologist Mike Daniels says Fort Carson could be one of the heaviest hit areas.
The Mountain Post received 10 inches of rain in 4 hours Thursday night. A total of 12 inches of rain has fallen on Fort Carson in the past 24 hours.
Despite the heavy rainfall, few major flooding issues have been reported in southwest Colorado Springs. However, there is localized flooding in some neighborhoods near Fort Carson.
